Mario Bruderhofer is an up-and-coming sound engineer working in classical music and Jazz. Born and raised in Lucerne, he began his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2014 and obtained his bachelor’s degree in sound engineering in 2017. In February 2022, he graduated with distinction from ZHdK. Alongside his recording career, he has been actively performing as a percussionist in various orchestral projects. His intense passion for music is reflected in his interest and activity in a wide range of musical settings, including Latin, Samba, Bluegrass (and various other folk musics), Fusion, Modern Jazz, Neo-Soul, Nu-Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Indie Pop as well as various electronic dance and art musics. Together with a group of friends, he also organizes a series of regular club events called “NONLINEAR”, both in Zurich and Lucerne. These events mainly showcase under-appreciated, leftfield DJs and producers of contemporary electronic dance music and aim to be a diverse contribution to the local scene.
